The Horse. Night painting, created in 2009, is one of the Horse series of works, commenced in 2005. The artist got inspiration from a horse, seen in Zasupoyivka village, its silhouette could hardly be distinguished in the darkness of the night, which only made this image even more alluring. The artwork fetched £79,250 beating the pre-sale estimate of £30,000–50,000. A month prior to the auction, the painting had been presented at the exhibition dedicated to mark the 20th anniversary of the Modern Art Institute.
