Kryvolap’s debut at Phillips was fairly modest, in comparison to his future success auction sales, though indeed lucky. The painting Moon over River sold for £30,000 with the pre-sale estimate being £20,000–25,000. It was created in 2009, as one of the Kaniv series of paintings. Later on, the picture was exhibited at Kryvolap’s solo exhibition held at the National Art Museum of Ukraine on 27 March – 9 April 2009.
