Orange Evening, Christie`s Auction House, London, Great Britain, September 2011

Anatoly Kryvolap’s painting Orange Evening had been in a private collection in Ukraine before it was put up for auction at Christie`s. The artwork dated 2004 renders a Ukrainian evening in orange colours, unusual for the artist. However, the infinite horizon line in Kryvolap’s signature violet and blue colours gives the work extraordinary dynamism. The painting went for £12,500.
