On 15 April 2015, an exhibition of artworks by the renowned Ukrainian artist Anatoly Kryvolap entitled Meditative Landscape opened at Triptych ART gallery in Kyiv. It displayed works created over the recent years. The artist had always been very passionate about Ukrainian nature, which constantly feeds his imagination with new ideas, colours and textures. Kryvolap pointed out a new colour – dark violet, almost black, sometimes even deeper than black. ‘It happened so, that my recent works were largely dark toned and deep coloured,’ said the painter. He also shared the feeling time has come to revamp abstract painting. The vernissage attended Kryvolap’s colleagues and art admirers. ‘Anatoly Kryvolap is the face of our gallery. We have been fruitfully working together for as long as thirteen years. I want to stress, that Anatoly has not merely reached an unrivalled level in creating sublime landscapes, but invented and introduced the so-called new Ukrainian landscape,’ said Tetyana Savchenko, Director of Triptych ART Gallery.
