Famous musician & singer Oleg Skrypka debuted his first fashion collection at the Ukrainian Fashion Week, Spring 2014. This menswear collection being an exquisite blend of rock and ethnic chic was created to support Skrypka’s new album “Wonderful World”. During the fashion show Oleg took over the DJ console to play music from the album.
The collection featured prints of the paintings by Ukraine’s most expensive and successful artist Anatoly Kryvolap. Fashion experts viewed this creative collaboration as one of the key highlights of the Ukrainian Fashion Week Spring 2014 season. Also the prints of artworks by Maria Pryimachenko were used to create the collection along with vytynanky and embroidery.
Menswear from the leader of the band Vopli Vidoplyasova mainly presented yellow shorts, black sharovarys and kimono-style jackets, decorated with a portrait of the Cossack Mamay, a Ukrainian folkloric hero. “Everybody dance now!” the singer exclaimed at the end of the fashion show to loud cheers.
