On 15 September 2005, Anatoly Kryvolap’s solo exhibition Landscape opened in Kyiv, featuring the artist’s mesmerizing artworks mainly from the Nostalgia series of paintings. At the opening-day the gallery owner Evhen Karas noted, that for Kryvolap landscape is a path to the colour. “In Kryvolap’s landscape palette colours fight for the right to be the author’s favorite and take the lead. Once the winner is obvious, it should mysteriously stain on the canvas to render the worldscape. A viewer is granted a chance to saunter in colours, be it a walk along the raspberry red or a flight over the green,” the gallerist philosophized on artist’s painting.
