Mountains, Ducat Auction House, Kyiv, Ukraine, April 2012

The artwork Mountains was painted in 2007. By that time, Anatoly Kryvolap had just discovered for himself the southern coast of the Crimea with its spectacular views of mountain scenery, which impressed him way more than those of turquoise waters of the Black Sea and golden-sand beaches, so, no wonder, The Crimea series of paintings was so expressional. The painting turned to be the most expensive lot at the auction with the estimate of $10,000–15,000.
